What I love about design is how it influences people and opinions, and how it can help someone along a journey or make life easier. For about 15 years, I've been working on ways that design can transform a space, sell an idea, or enhance someone's experience. Design is a powerful tool and I am interested in using it to influence positive ideas and solutions.

Art Supervisor, JUICE Pharma Advertising
San Francisco, CA (February 2017-February 2018)

  • Creative direction and implementation on the launch of a new brand called MEPSEVII, the first drug for a rare disease called MPS VII for both patients and health care providers
     
  • Management, oversight and creation of all art projects including brand book, print, web and conference material for XLHlink.com and MEPSEVII. Art support for Neurocrine and Biomarin brands, plus the Ingrezza brand launch

Senior Designer, UC Berkeley Communications & Public Affairs
Berkeley, CA (December 2012–2017)

  • Project management, vendor management, video producer and content creation for the new Berkeley Visitor Center; a state-of-the-art, museum-like space that features alumni, faculty and student videos, interactive displays, a historical timeline, and a large 98" map of Berkeley's projects around the globe
     
  • The Berkeley brand: Design support and advocate throughout campus for the new brand roll-out in 2012. Finalize brand.berkeley.edu, the new Berkeley brand book, brand poster and organize to teach and support visual communications across UC Berkeley
     
  • All print, web and mobile applications for Cal Day (the University’s large open house event), and the planning and strategic communications for the centennial of the Berkeley Campanile

Senior Art Director, JUICE Pharma Advertising
New York, NY (June 2006–December 2008)

  • Art direction for Novartis Vaccines and Merck ranging from global brand launches, concept development to interactive sales aids, website design and photoshoots
     
  • Development and management of Meningitis.com; lead art director in refreshing MENJUGATE (meningitis vaccine)

 

  • Key member in the pitch, concepting, color, and logo development for the launch of MENVEO, a meningitis vaccine.
     
  • SINGULAIR Asthma & SINGULAIR Allergic Rhinitis Interactive detail aids, lead art director for Spring ‘07 campaign for SINGULAIR Allergic Rhinitis including strategic and conceptual development; developed concept and logo for SINGULAIR I.V.
     
  • Art direction for 7 new business pitches in the year of 2008. Promoted from Art Director to Senior Art Director in 3 months.

Design and art direction at a small agency: work included 25+ interactive microsites, print collateral, logos and package design. Project management including photoshoots, print production.. Management of a team including 5+ freelancers. Major Accounts include: Symbol Technologies, Jewish Theological Seminary, Vineyard Theatre

Senior Designer, Barnes and Noble.com,
New York, NY (March 2003–April 2004)

Responsible for merchandising homepage graphics; strong collaboration with Editors, Writers, and Content Engineering groups; involved in a team pioneering a full website redesign to maintain brand strategy, while also streamlining the user experience through design, technology, and information; wrote guidelines for homepage graphics; participated in extensive usability testing and consumer analysis
